Wall-mounted housing The carbon monoxide alarm’s housing, also known as a CO alarm, is remarkably inconspicuous. The alarm is equipped with a stucco granular wall structure. This way it hides nicely in most walls. The CO alarm is compact (75 x 106 x 35 mm (3 x 4 x 1,4")) and suitable for hanging as well as standing. It also warns of low carbon monoxide concentration Carbon monoxide alarms display the concentration of carbon monoxide in ppm. Ppm stands for parts per million, or number of parts per one million particles. It is required by law that CO alarms sound the alarm at a detected concentration of carbon monoxide over 50 ppm for 60 minutes. Even when you sleep, an alarm of >85dB will not go unnoticed. A long-term presence of a low CO concentration is also harmful to your health. The Alecto COA1910 carbon monoxide alarm already gives a warning when a concentration of 30 ppm or less is detected for 60 minutes.
