Product description

PC/PBT (HT-UV-IMPACT) is a filament for industrial and automotive applications. The material has been modified for impact strength and heat resistance, and infused with an anti-UV stabiliser. The addition of polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) to Polycarbonate means less deformation on 3D printed parts than with pure PC.[more]The material is easier to print than PC and most common PC/ABS blends, does not emit unpleasant odours during printing has relatively low shrinkage for this group of materials (up to 1%) and very good adhesion to the table. Its excellent mechanical properties, very good impact strength and resilience, combined with the ability to be used outdoors (UV resistant) and the possibility of operating at relatively high temperatures (90-110C), make it an excellent construction material with a wide range of applications. Both in terms of impact strength and temperature resistance, the material performs better than the popular PET-G and ABS, while it is easier to print than PC and PC-ABS.
Recommended printing parameters
- extrusion temperature 240-260°C
- bed temperature: 90-110°C
- chamber temperature: 50-80°C
- air supply: 0-20% (depends on model geometry)
- compatible worktables: glass, smooth PEI, textured PEI,
The filament can be printed on both direct and Bowden feed printers. We recommend closing the chamber. If there are problems with adhesion, we recommend using adhesion formulations. Due to the high printing temperatures, it will be necessary to fit a full-metal heatbreak (without the Teflon tube inside).
