Freewell Real Locking Variable ND/CPL Filter Mega Kit
The Freewell Real Locking VND/CPL Mega Kit is a complete filter system designed for filmmakers who need complete control over light and images. It combines a variable gray filter (VND), a polarizing filter (CPL) and two mist filters for maximum flexibility when shooting and filming. The whole thing is based on a robust locking system, which guarantees fast mounting and stability even during dynamic work. In addition, the filters are made of True Color grade optical glass, so you'll get neutral, true colors even in strong dimming or strong contrast.
Precise control of light and exposure
The Variable Gray Filter (VND) offers image dimming adjustment from 3 to 10 degrees (ND8 to ND1000). This allows you to shoot or film even in very bright light without overexposure - without having to change the shutter speed or aperture. The included ND32 filter allows you to extend the range to a maximum of 10 degrees, which is ideal for long exposures, motion blur, timelapse, or filming with a cinematic fluid effect.
Mechanical locking - stability without magnets
Unlike classic magnetic filters, Freewell used a mechanical locking system that holds the filter rigidly in place. The filter does not rotate on its own and does not fall off, even during intensive camera movement or gimbal work. Installation and removal is instant - just press the side latches.
Cinematic blur effect - Black Mist and Snow Mist filters
The kit comes with 2 mist filters: Black Glow Mist 1/4 and Snow Mist 1/4. Both soften the light, slightly reduce contrast and create a soft glow around light sources - without losing image sharpness. Black Mist adds depth and mood to photos, great for portraits and evening shots. Snow Mist has a softer, brighter effect, ideal for landscapes or video footage with natural light.
Practical extras for convenient field use
The front cap with a 2-snap lock and built-in NFC module gives access to instructions, instructional videos and warranty information when the smartphone is brought close. The rear cap has an integrated gray card that allows you to quickly set the white balance on set, without the need for additional accessories.
