The PATONA lavalier microphone (also called lapel or tie microphone) is a small, portable microphone that can be attached to clothing, near the mouth of the speaker or performer. Our lavalier microphones are omnidirectional, which means they can pick up sound from all directions.
This type of microphone is often used in situations where it is important for the speaker or performer to be able to move freely without being tied to a handheld or fixed microphone. They are particularly popular in areas such as television, theater, live presentations, lectures, interviews and film productions.
PATONA lavalier microphones are lightweight at 6 grams each, discreet and unobtrusive to increase comfort and minimize visibility. Our microphones are attached to the collar, tie or lapel via a clip. The microphones are wirelessly coupled with a Receiver, which is plugged directly into the iPhone.
Lavalier microphones provide good sound quality and allow the speaker or performer to move freely without compromising sound quality. They are especially useful in situations with multiple speakers or when the speaker's hands must be free.
